AirPlus is a payment and Business-Travel-Management solution.

Customers of AirPlus can analyse, pay and be invoiced via AirPlus. They offer multiple products which will support your customers. Air Plus is a virtual payment solution and companies can pay there Hertz car in 12 European countries via AirPlus.

Customers will receive a centralised billing statement with detailed information and all charges. Due to the centralised billing, travel managers will receive a more transparent overview of their travel expenses.

Requesting an Invoice

How can I retrieve a copy of an invoice?
It’s possible to retrieve a copy of the invoice via the location underneath on the Hertz Website.

The following information is needed, in order or retrieve an invoice copy.
Last name of the renter, credit card details and or driver license details.

When you have tried to retrieve an invoice and it’s not available. We kindly ask you to contact our customer service department.

Please note; it can take 1 or 2 days after the rental took place before it’s available via the website.

Why are my total charges different to my quote?

At the time of reservation, you will be informed of the inclusions within your total quote (e.g. insurances, daily rate, tax, etc.).

Any extra options accepted upon collection of the vehicle (e.g optional insurance, satellite navigation unit, child seat, additional drivers, etc.) will be charged in addition to the amount quoted at time of booking.
These will be reflected on your rental agreement.


Should any applicable charges need to be added at the end of your rental (e.g. re-fuelling charges, extra days, etc), these will also appear on your final bill.

Billing Number

What is a billing number?
Companies who have a Hertz Account are linked to a so called billing number. This 12 digit number must be provided when a booking is made.

Why do I need a Billing number?
In case a Billing number is used, the billing number (company) will be charged for all rental costs. When a booking is made on a full credit voucher, the traveller does not have to provide a credit card at the time of pick up. When the booking is made with Full Credit Voucher. The so called E-Vouchers are a easy to use Payment method within car rental, therefore the Hertz Billing number is required as appose to the credit card. E-Vouchers need to be activated on an IATA level and for each specific billing number.

E-Voucher are available in almost all European countries as in the USA. The GDS system will display a message in the instance that an E-Vouchers is not accepted in a specific country. An alternative Payment method needs to be chosen when you receive this message.


How can I request a Billing number?
Billing numbers can only be requested via your Hertz Account Manager, as a contract needs to be setup or amended. The contact details of your Hertz Account Manager can be found on the contact section of HertzHeroes. The customer/agency also needs to have a minimum revenue in order to apply for a Billing number. The billing number will be setup after passing a Credit Check.

No, only if passed the credit check and complied to the minimum revenue. 

Is a billing number obligatory to issue (e-)Vouchers?

Yes, (e-)Vouchers can only been issued when a billing number is setup.

How long does it take to activate a billing number for E-Vouchers?

The activation can take up to 10 days.
